Hello, I’m Verena Kunz-Gehrmann,
brand strategist, cultural translator, and bridge-builder with over 20 years of experience leading marketing and brand strategy across global markets.
I’ve led marketing and brand strategy for international companies – from startups to listed tech firms – across Europe, Asia, and North America. Today, I also work with consultants and trainers who want to position themselves strategically without resorting to personal brand theater.
What I’ve learned is: whether you’re a company or an individual expert, growth isn’t just about translation or tactics. It’s about understanding how meaning shifts across contexts—how trust is built differently, how value is interpreted, and how messages resonate (or don’t).
Years spent working across different continents taught me how easily communication fails when cultural nuance is overlooked. Since then, I’ve worked across dozens of markets, always asking: What makes this work here, and how do we adapt it authentically for there?
I’m certified in Cultural Intelligence (CQ) and speak English, German, and Mandarin fluently, with working knowledge of Italian, Japanese, and French. I work with a trusted network of partners across regions and time zones.
My workspace often includes two quiet observers: my cats, who’ve seen more strategies unfold than most.

About My Work
Whether you’re a company expanding internationally or a professional building visibility beyond your current market, growth isn’t just about tactics. It’s about how you show up – how you build trust, adapt your message, and connect authentically.
“Within three feet, we don’t just exchange ideas. We build the trust that moves things forward.”
I work with a simple principle: the strongest impact happens within three feet of influence. Real change begins in everyday interactions—with your team, your partners, your audience, or your peers.
This guides how I work. I help companies enter new markets and professionals build strategic visibility with approaches that are grounded in cultural understanding and authentic positioning.
When trust is built close, momentum follows.
My Values
The foundation beneath every project, partnership, and conversation.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief:
Real impact begins within three feet.
Whether in a strategic meeting, a workshop, or a quiet moment mid-project — the most meaningful change starts in small, human spaces. These are the values I carry into every engagement:
Respect
I meet people and cultures with curiosity.
To me, respect means deep listening, openness, and appreciation for difference. This openness is especially critical in cross-cultural work, where assumptions can easily overshadow understanding.
Trust
I don’t expect trust – I build it.
Trust grows through reliability, transparency, and shared goals. It thrives when people feel safe to share ideas, take creative risks, and collaborate freely — and when we celebrate progress together, not just outcomes.
Honesty
Honesty creates clarity.
I believe in grounded feedback, transparent processes, and speaking with authenticity. For me, honesty also means flexibility in the process and always assuming good intent.
Moral & Ethical Values Behind My Concept
While the phrase “three feet of influence” is often associated with sales or marketing, its ethical dimension becomes clearer when you see it not just as a tactic, but as a mindset:
Responsibility
Those closest to us, physically or emotionally, deserve care and uplift, not harm.
Presence & Awareness
We create impact by noticing others, listening attentively, and engaging with empathy.
Intentional Influence
Every interaction is a chance to reflect on the kind of energy and impact we bring into shared spaces.
Respectful Engagement
True influence is built on connection, understanding, and respect — not pressure.
